George Bello (Born January 22, 2002) is an American soccer player who plays for Major League Soccer club Atlanta United.
Early life
Bello was born in Abuja, Nigeria, before his family moved to Douglasville, Georgia in the United States at a young age.
Professional career
On June 17, 2017, it was announced that Bello would sign with Major League Soccer club Atlanta United under the Homegrown Player rule at the beginning of the 2018 season.
On March 31, 2018, Bello made his first official appearance on Atlanta United’s second team, Atlanta United 2, starting in a 2–2 draw with Charlotte Independence.
On September 2, 2018, Bello made his MLS debut for Atlanta United against D.C. United.
On September 22, 2018, Bello got his first start for Atlanta United against Real Salt Lake in a home match. On October 6, 2018, Bello scored his first goal for Atlanta United against New England Revolution in a home match.
International career
In October 2019, he was named to the United States squad for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
